Day 11: Warren Gorge to Eyre Depot

Monday 27th May 2013

The day began with the usual briefing and a long 4.7 km walk-in to the trail.

David Meredith was awarded the Morris Minus award for his meritorious helpful
behaviour.

Dean Mortimer's flag for the day was Ayers Rock.

Unusually, the long walk-in resulted in our group having morning tea at the spot we left the trail the previous afternoon.

Then it was into another creek bed and there were lots of rocks to clamber over.

Gorges  and rocks, rocks and gorges.

This was not a long day with only 12.5 km on the trail.  Even so, the Eyre Depot plaque was still a welcome sight.  A short 1.5 km walk-out to the bus on the other side of Depot Creek rounded off the day.

Dean Mortimer's rock of the day - with dendrites.
