Travel day - Blinman to Rawnsley Park

Wednesday 22nd August 2012

A lazy morning of packing, strolling around Blinman, exploring the Blinman mine and having coffee before setting out for Parachilna on the bus.

We had an enjoyable lunch at the Prairie Hotel at Parachilna.  The artwork on display at the hotel is well worth seeing.  Outside some strong winds were blowing and we got reports of a cold snap in Adelaide dropping the temperature to 9 degrees.

After lunch, it was back into the bus, cars etc and off to Rawnsley Park.  Setting up tents at Rawnsely Park proved to be difficult due to untimely rain and some strong wind gusts.  Greg Kelly, Cathy Kelly and Michael Brennan had almost finished setting up their site when the bad weather hit and they had to sit it out for a while as the storm passed.

Calmer weather in the evening at Rawnsley Park brought out the local wildlife and we saw plenty of birds and kangaroos.
