Today's walk of 16.5 km was to take us through the town of Crystal Brook. Dean Mortimer had arranged to recapture the fun of a bygone era by spending some time at the picnic races. The feature event was the inaugural 100m Heysen Dash, open to all comers wearing a backpack.
